Zenith Saurer - 1940s - 34mm
Here is a very nice Zenith Saurer from the 1940sSaurer is mostly known for manufacturing trucks and buses. During WWII, when that watch is from, Saurer also produced plane engines and military vehicles for the Swiss army. Zenith making at the time military watches, that co-branding made sense! This example is in very good original condition with a nice patina on the dual-tone dial. It's hard to show on photo the way it plays with light, but it's very nice. The painted logo is in very good condition. The case is made of stainless steel and has only a few scratches. Still has it's original brushed finish and sharp angles. The case back is signed. It is powered by a hand wound caliber Zenith 106 P-6 (Swiss made, 15 jewels, 18000a/h) running well with an accuracy of +/- 5sec / day.The crystal is clean but slightly lose (can rotate)It comes with a new brown leather strap. The case measures 34mm without crown, 40mm lug to lug, 9mm thick with a 18mm lug width.
